STATIC 1 ($59 + range fee, 3 hours)
This pistol class emphasizes the fundamentals of marksmanship: stance, grip, sight picture and alignment, trigger press. The class is named Static because it does not involve movement. There is no drawing from the holster, no shooting while moving, and no timed shooting. The focus is on slow, deliberate, accurate shots. It is important to master these fundamentals as they form the foundation for the more advanced Dynamic classes which follow. The instructors will introduce proper technique, then evaluate student performance and diagnose problems. Students will engage targets at distances ranging from 3 yards to 25 yards.
DYNAMIC 1 ($69 + range fee, 3 hours)
This pistol class emphasizes drawing from the holster and making accurate shots while under time constraints. The focus is on smooth, efficient motion while maintaining the fundamentals of marksmanship learned in Static 1. The instructors will introduce proper technique and offer tips to improve performance. Students will master the draw stroke, target acquisition, various ready positions, trigger prep, recoil mitigation, reloads, and target transitions.
DYNAMIC 2 ($79 + range fee, 3 hours)
This pistol class expands on Dynamic 1 and emphasizes making accurate shots while moving and under time constraints. The instructors will introduce proper technique and offer tips to improve performance. Students will master shooting while moving, shooting from cover, clearing malfunctions, shooting at extreme distances, and shooting more challenging targets.
